Cloud infrastructure
Separation of origin from users using Cloud infrastructure to ensure maximum securityThe SiteBox platform ensures seamless connectivity between its websites and visitors through a Cloudflare network. This guarantees that all traffic to SiteBox-hosted websites is channeled through Cloudflare's extensive network, eliminating the possibility of direct connections to SiteBox instances or underlying servers for enhanced security.
Content Delivery Network
SiteBox websites benefit from Cloudflare's global network of nearly 300 Edge Locations, which cache and store content closer to visitors. This approach dramatically improves website performance, as visitors' requests are primarily served by the nearest Edge Location, resulting in faster load times.
Cloudflare's robust technology empowers SiteBox websites to handle traffic ranging from individual users to large-scale enterprise audiences, ensuring a consistently high-performing and secure experience. This scalable approach is crucial for hosting websites with significant traffic and demanding requirements.
Web Application Firewall
In addition to CDN capabilities, all SiteBox websites are secured by a Web Application Firewall (WAF). This technology continuously analyzes incoming traffic to identify and neutralize potential threats before they reach the origin server. WAF rules are actively managed by both Cloudflare and SiteBox, allowing for rapid response to emerging vulnerabilities and dangers. This proactive security measure also protects websites from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

Cloudflare Argo
SiteBox websites use Cloudflare Argo for more performant routing and caching patterns adjusted to the needs of visitors real time. Cloudflare Argo is a service that optimizes communication between edge nodes and visitors by rerouting traffic through the least congested network paths in real-time, reducing latency and enhancing user experience. On top of that, Tiered cache is an additional layer to the caching mechanism that stores content at both edge nodes and upper-tier edge nodes. If cached version is unavailable at the edge, close to the visitor, it checks whether upper-tier node has a copy before a request to the origin server is made, further minimizing latency.
Edge processing
Additionally, SiteBox leverages its proprietary technology to perform advanced processing at the edge, further enhancing security, performance, and user experience. This innovative approach includes the following features:
- SiteBox Enclave – this cutting-edge solution secures complete applications or specific areas with a login screen or custom-configured rules, such as IP or country restrictions.
- Redirects – SiteBox performs redirection logic at the edge, rather than the origin server, enabling faster response times and reducing the load on your website's infrastructure.
- Default security headers – to enhance security and protect your website from potential vulnerabilities, SiteBox automatically adds default security headers to all responses. This proactive measure further safeguards your digital assets and user data.
- Blocking

for non-production Instances – SiteBox serves a blockingrobots.txt
file for non-production instances, preventing search engine crawlers from indexing and accessing sensitive or under-development content.
